I’m very excited to finally announce that my second eBook is finished!

With this whole pandemic happening, the launch is a little later than planned. The last third of the book being a mission to complete as I juggled taking the final photos and writing copy with having the whole family home.

But as it turned out it was exactly what it needed. My family are the reason why I created this book. I wanted to pass down to my children a collection of recipes, and a way of eating that I feel very passionate about, in the hope that it inspires their own love for food and gathering. Having them home meant that they were here enjoying the recipes along with me. And they were able to see first hand how creating a book is done.

The Art of Eating Well is a collection of 35 recipes that reflect my philosophy of eating - which is to celebrate food. And to eat food which is both simple and beautiful.

Simple in that food focuses on quality ingredients plated in their most nutritious and purest form. Beautiful in that the way our food is presented can lift our spirits. Celebrating and gathering around beautiful food can help us feel connected and happy.

It is during this time especially, where we are spending so much time with one another that we have the opportunity to create special moments in our day to gather and connect.

When I created this book, I aimed to cook with a kitchen of ingredients that minimised waste as much as possible. Many of the ingredients and recipes crossover with one another.

A tomato sauce which can be added to a pasta or used as a soup. A crème fraîche sauce spread on toast with wood-smoked salmon or tossed through a potato salad. A chocolate-hazelnut butter squished between almond biscuits or spread on toast with a pinch of salt.

You won’t have ingredients sitting unused for months on end. The recipes are based around a rather minimalist kitchen using fresh, quality ingredients.

This eCookbook isn’t about restricting ourselves. But rather enjoying all food groups sensibly. You will find many recipes inspired by my love for the Mediterranean way of eating - which I believe is a delicious and wholesome way to eat.

My heart and soul went into this book. And I really hope you enjoy it as much as I’ve enjoyed putting it together. I feel really proud and happy to finally share it with you.
